My Extended Stay in Taos, New Mexico
In Spring of 2017, I spent 5 weeks living in Taos, New Mexico. I’d never been there before. I chose to explore the town based on a recommendation from Vedic Astrologer, Prasannan. He mentioned that it would be a great place for me based on my Astrocartography.
A number of things happened when I was in Taos. I was moved by the welcoming vibe, unique sites and people of Taos. 95% of the people I ran into walking down the street and at other sites said, “Hello, how are you doing?” Some even struck a conversation with me and even gave me their number to ask for rides, recommendations for restaurants and things to do. I was blown away by the hospitality.
With a rural, small population of about 6,000 people in a nearly 7,000 feet elevation there was also lots to do. The community is filled with over 100 art galleries, healers, spiritualists and alternative health professionals. I spent my time there exploring the sites, getting to know people and myself on a greater level. I studied tarot, reiki, participated in full moon rituals and spiritual gatherings. It was really awesome. I felt a greater sense of people than I ever had before.
Taos was special. When I hopped online to learn more, I found that most videos online highlight the Taos Ski Valley, River Gorge and other attractions. I felt there should be a representation that captured it’s essence.
One day I was sitting at the El Gamal Restaurant and had my first “spiritual download”. I was sitting in my chair and got dizzy, felt like something was flowing into me through my skull and down my body. Then all of a sudden I said to myself, “What about Get To Know Taos”? Within a few days, I made plans to interview multiple locals then created a YouTube channel, “Get To Know Taos”.
In my Astrocartography chart, “Jupiter” line crosses Taos (and Denver, which I absolutely love. More about that later). I did some research online and it said it correlated with expansive growth, energy, good fortune and broadcasting and publishing.
It was interesting that the channel idea came to me at that time… And I happened to be featured in the Taos Newspaper twice as a result of the project.

I also met my mentor, Robert Zink while on this trip. I’ve since learned so much from him and his wife Rachael. I feel much more empowered and have elevated several areas of my life including career and financial prosperity.
I also recorded a couple videos about my stay in Taos on my personal YouTube channel:
Living In Taos for A Month (this video has gotten tons of hits! not sure why, I personally think the one below is more entertaining.)

I’m grateful for my trip and looking forward to go back to visit! If you have any questions about Taos, feel free to comment on my videos or contact me through my website form.
